Best Chili Recipe
ever. This chili will warm the heart and soul on a cold blistery winter evening. This recipe has a mild chili taste which makes it great for kids. To make this chile even more popular with kids and adults too, serve with tortilla chips to scoop up the chili. This may too become your families Best Chili Recipe too!
Best Beef Chili
Serves 6-8
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomato sauce
2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 cup water
1 (6 ounce can) tomato paste
3 teaspoons cumin
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons Mexican oregano (or regular)
2 tablespoons Worchester sauce
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
2 (14 ounce) can red kidney beans,
1 (14 ounce) can corn, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup sliced green onions
Fixings as Desired:
Low Fat Cheddar Cheese
Light Sour Cream
Jarred jalapeno peppers
Hot sauce
DIRECTIONS
Sauté the meat, onions, green pepper, and garlic until meat is browned and vegetables soft. Drain meat and return to pan.
Reduce the heat to low and add all of the remaining ingredients except the beans and fixings. Cook on stove top on low for 1 hour. Add the beans and corn and cook another 1/2 hour.
Right before serving, stir in green onions and cilantro.
Serve chili in bowls. Add fixings as desired.
