Blue Cheese Burger!
This is my version of a classic
Blue Cheese Burger
where chopped chived are added to the beef mixture and the burgers are topped with french fried onions. A juicy tomato slice, french fried onion and mayonnaise are perfectly paired with the burger.
Blue Cheese & Onion Hamburger
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, crumbled
1/8 cup minced fresh chives
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
4 large slices tomato
1 cup French’s French Fried Onions
4 seeded hamburger rolls
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, blue cheese, chives, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, and mustard. Form in to 4 equal size patties, place indentation in the center of each patty and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat grill for medium high heat.
Place burgers on the grill for about 3-4 minutes each side or until desired doneness.
Place burgers in buns and top with a slice of tomato and French fried onions.
