A Buffalo Chicken Burger that is Hot and Spicy!
This Buffalo Chicken Burger has all the great taste of Buffalo wings but without all the chicken skin fat which makes this a healthier choice that still explodes with flavor. Enjoy this with celery on the side for a complete meal.
Buffalo Chicken Burger
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds ground chicken
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 cup finely chopped green onions
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worchester sauce
1/4 cup red hot
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon canola oil
4 slices American cheese
4 large leaves iceberg lettuce
4 tablespoons chunky blue cheese dressing
4 hamburger rolls
DIRECTIONS
Mix the ground meat, garlic powder, onion powder, celery seed, green onions, salt and pepper, mustard, Worchester sauce. Form meat in to 4 patties and place an indentation in the top center of each patty.
Pan fry burgers in 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat for about 5-6 minutes. Flip the burger and pan fry another 2 minutes.
Add red hot and butter to burger pan and place spoonfuls of sauce on to burgers as burger continues to cook through, another 3 minutes or so. Place Amercian cheese on burgers and turn off the heat. Once cheese is melted, transfer burgers to buns.
Top each burger with remaining hot sauce from the frying pan. Top with lettuce and blue cheese dressing.
