1 beefsteak tomato,ends removed
and sliced in 4
4 Kaiser roll, slit open
Chipotle Mayonnaise
1 Chipotle Pepper in adobo sauce
1 teaspoon adobo sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Juice 1/4 lime
1 tablespoon sour cream
Pinch salt and Pepper
DIRECTIONS
Mix together the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, parsley, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper together but do not overwork. Form the meat in to 4 patties and place an indentation in the top center of each patty. Allow to sit in refrigerator 1 hour prior to grilling.
Meanwhile, heat saute pan to medium low heat and add canola oil. Saute onions for about 15 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Mix all the ingredients for the chipotle mayonnaise. Spread chipotle mayonnaise on to both sides of Kaiser roll.
Place burgers on the grill and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on first side. Flip the burger and pan fry another 2 minutes. Top each burger with one slice of cheese. Cook another 1-2 minutes until burger is medium rare or to your desired doneness. Remove the burgers and set each burger on to the bottom of a kaiser roll.
Peel and slice avocado in 8 slices.
Top meat with bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado slices.
Note: This Chipotle Burger recipe can easily be substituted with ground turkey or ground chicken.
