This classic grilled burger can be used to create a variety of hamburger recipes for the grill . Grilled Hamburger with Choice of Toppings

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
Salt and pepper
4 Hamburger rolls

DIRECTIONS

Place beef in a large bowl and add in salt and pepper. Form meat in to 4 patties and place an indentation in the top center of each patty.(Otherwise, burger will be have hump in the middle which means all the toppings will slide off) Add generous amount of salt and pepper to both sides of patties.

Grill the patties over medium high heat for approximately 3-4 minutes. Flip the burgers and cook another 2-3 minutes for medium rare. Add 1 minute per side for medium. (Burgers can also be pan fried – cook for the same amount of time)

Place burgers in rolls. Serve as is or pick your favorite topping combinations listed below.
