Garlic and Onion Burger
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds lean ground sirloin
1 small onion, peeled
3 cloves garlic, peeled
1/8 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil
4 slices Havarti cheese
1 cup French’s French fried onions
3 tablespoons steak sauce(Recommended A-1)
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
4 romaine leaves
4 large seeded hamburger rolls, split open
DIRECTIONS
Place meat in a large bowl. Using the small openings of a grater, grate onion and garlic into meat. Add in the parsley, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Form meat in to 4 patties and place an indentation in the top center of each patty.
Pan fry the patties in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat for approximately 3-4 minutes. Flip the burgers and cook another 2-3 minutes. Top burgers with cheese and remove once cheese has melted. (Burgers can also be grilled in lieu of pan frying)
Lightly toast roll.
Mix steak sauce and mayonnaise and spread on to inside top of bun.
Place burgers in rolls and top with French fried onions and lettuce.
