Quick Shepherds Pie Recipe You can make any Night of the Week!
This easy and quick Shepherds pie recipe is so simple you can make it any night of the week. My family really enjoys this meal and I really enjoy how inexpensive and simple it is to make.
Weeknight Shepherds Pie
Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS
1 pound Seasoned Ground beef Mix

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons white flour
1 cup low sodium beef broth
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
such as corn, carrots and peas
2(4.1 ounce) packages favorite
instant mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS
Prepare
Seasoned Ground Beef Mix
. Click link for recipe. (If preparing this meat mixture ahead of time, store in the fridge for up to two days or in the freezer for up to 2 months until ready to use. Warm the meat on low in either the microwave or stove top prior to using in this recipe)
Add to the beef mixture the thyme, garlic powder, Italian seasonings, and flour. Mix well and slowly add in beef broth and heat on medium for about 2 minutes.
Add the frozen vegetables to the meat mix and heat through, approximately 10 minutes.
mashed potatoes according to directions. Mix in the butter.
Spray inside of 13” x 9” casserole pan with non stick spray. Place meat mixture in to pan. Top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top of the potatoes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake in the oven uncovered for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow to sit 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
